for some reason arthur keeps saying "that's gay" I don't know why it bothers me that much, but it does. I mean what does something not work right, or something doesn't have a feature have to do w/ being gay? I stumbled onto a jap tv show segment called "hard gay" I'm laughin my ass off!! more of the... OMG, how can he get away w/ that... now THAT'S GAY!!

low on the updates
it's been... hmmm... a few weeks since my last update... I built my htpc/server. it's pretty much setup. there were A LOT of bumps along the road... now I'm stuck on the tv. I know that the dvi out won't work. my tv is REALLY old. it's from my uncle when he moved to taiwan.. it's a 27" tube tv w/ a CURVED screen!! so it's about 8+ years old... there's a little discoloration on the edge of the screen... BUT my sister told me to keep 3 months of savings for "in case shit happens" fund... if I bought a tv... I wouldn't have that... SO... I'll wait... guess I'll miss out on the superbowl tv deals :( besides, reading up on the CES stuff, the new stuff is supposed to be REALLY nice!! if I don't get one of those... the older stuff will drop...
now that it's setup, I'm going to give in to the wireless N. even though it's still in draft form (not finalized) risking the possibility that it won't work w/ the FINAL form... the speed would be nice to have since it is a server as well.
I'll list the parts to the htpc later.

I love building computers. but this weekend is the system builder nightmare. almost everything arthur and I try to setup a machine... brick wall after brick wall... (sigh)

cold's kickin my ass today..
it's been about 17-20 degrees today... I love the cold... BUT on my way to work this morning my break light went out... I did have a spare in my glove compartment. I didn't want to be pulled over, so I thought I'd do it as soon as I got to the parking lot @ work. took off my gloves, opened the trunk, using my keys as a flathead screwdriver and unscrewed some plastic fasteners pulled apart the plastic covering. I got to the bulb socket was... twisted, no movement... more pressure... nothing... I saw that it needed a socket wrench... so I had to wait till I got home so I got some tools..
at home pretty much the same thing... no gloves, but TOOLS!! when it's all said and done... my hands were numb, the surface didn't really feel anything and the inside all tingly.
Mood: ready for some warmer weather now!!
never would've thought I'd see...
so I was driving down rt1 around 6pm coming home from arthur's. I noticed a streak of light coming down from the sky. it wasn't that bright and quickly got really bright and then just as quickly faded into the night. I realized that it was a shooting star! I never would've expected to see a shooting star there! so filled with light pollution from cars, the highway lights commercial zones. but I saw one! of course I made a wish...
after doing this I want to include google maps into my site. that way it'll show a map of the location I was at!
